Tools needed: Mobirise Builder, Code Editor, a dummy page inside the project to be used for inserting the cards's back images Doing it with only a Custom CSS snippet so all the editing capabilities of the Mobirise Builder app are kept. So here is the case: Transforming the elements of the native features block of the Mobirise3 theme into a flipping cards with front and back images and some text and a button on the back side. So buddy, thanks a lot for asking this - your question brought out a lot of useful answers I really wanted to tweak a block in a way it could remain it's full editting capabilities and Block Properties panel but still appear and behave as flipping cards once previewed or published or in other words - I needed just a clever CSS snippet but at the time nothing came to my mind so a left it this way for a while - som things just need a little time until the right though or occasion appears.Īnd then a fellow forum member asked a few things about tweaking the native Mobirise 3 theme features block, animating the texts and getting the images flip on hover using the built in animate.css transition effects and playing with his case the workflow kind of gave me the flipping cards solution I needed. So we have a flipping cards ( or tiles ) working solution but to be frank with you guys I kind of got this feeling it needed improvement since for the time Mobirise Builder got my main web design tool I maybe got a bit spoiled by the ease things happen around here so when it came back to playing around with the pure code and previewing to actually see how it would look like it kind of left me with a slight feeling it just needed a bit more.Ī bit more to make it look and work the Mobirise way as we have got so used to Oh, here it is btw you might want to take a look at it since it more or less comes as a predecessor of this story and what's about to be told in it However nevertheless all the above the tiles flipped on hover and displayed properly on both Preview and Publish so even clumsy it was a working solution and actually now looking at it after a few days away from the problem - quite good looking too - I guess that's a bit better than nothing right? And the preview in the Mobirise Builder app was well let's call it a bit confusing. Here we are about a week after the workarounds with the flipping tiles workaround which required a heavy both HTML and CSS Custom code in order to work out and additionally since the code got unlocked the actual content of the tiles was editable through the Code Editor only.
